After the completion of this project, the quality of the naval atmospheric and oceanic data collection and analysis can be improved. It can also shorten the calculation time of the battlefield environmental information, increase the spatial resolution of the meteorological and oceanographic forecast for naval battlefield. The atmospheric and oceanic forecasting resources can be concentrated to the analysis, research and development for supporting the operations of naval war fighters.
■ Ensure the transmission and processing performance of a large number of data files between the high-performance computing system and the storage system, and consider the power, air conditioning, floor bearing capacity and other related facilities required for the overall equipment, with a reliable and stable demand structure.
■ Provide a user friendly HPC cluster management interface and ensure that the computation of numerical system, monitoring, exception notification, performance analysis and statistical reports are in line with the automated management mechanism to achieve the goals of the best efficiency.
■ Extend the capabilities of the Navy numerical forecasting capability by developing international and local numerical model scholars and experts to develop world-class numerical prediction models for WRF, WW3, and POM, and develop nonhydrostatic, extremely high-resolution near-shore and numerical prediction capability for fleet cruise route.
