The Taipei City Police Department initiated a replacement of the old radio system. The radio system communication coverage requirement should cover more than 95% outdoor access rate of the 12 administrative districts in Taipei City. The project is divided into four phases. According to the stage plan, 9 infrastructures for the repeater site in Taipei City high mountain area (including the 101 building), radio equipment management, major and backup MSO (Main Switching Office) , radio dispatch system, mobile and portable terminal equipment (nearly 6000 radios), blind zone reinforcement for tunnel/underground street/underground parking lot, radio network management system and other radio related hardware and software equipment.
The system was fully launched during the 2017 World University Games in Taipei, demonstrated excellent performance.
