The system primarily provides computerized management for Taiwan Power Company's distribution engineering operations, addressing various business aspects, including engineering cases related to electricity user applications (e.g., new installations, temporary power, streetlights, changes in electricity usage, disconnection, reconnection, etc.) and projects undertaken by Taiwan Power Company itself (e.g., line improvement, expansion, maintenance, etc.). It offers functionalities such as case design, project construction, material requisition and return, construction management, project cost accounting, project verification, geographic mapping, and App operations.
Additionally, it provides mobile management capabilities, allowing users to operate on-site using tablet devices, achieving the benefits of mobile management.
The new distribution engineering information system annually handles approximately 180,000 projects, managing a project fund exceeding 36 billion NT dollars. With over 16,000 users distributed across 24 District Business Offices of Taiwan Power Company and 279 service locations nationwide, the involved departments include sales, design, engineering, materials, accounting, verification, and service centers. Daily, it processes around 10,000 data transactions related to various projects. Given the complexity and vast amount of data involved, it serves as a crucial core system in Taiwan Power Company's distribution information management.
This system annually saves Taiwan Power Company several hundred million NT dollars in costs.
