The TETRA Fiber Optic Repeater system, branded MDS and model MDS-386F, is designed to extend the RF signal coverage of the TETRA system. It achieves this through optical fiber connectivity with optical/electrical converters. The system employs a high-linear RF power amplifier design and is equipped with NMT (Network Management System) software, allowing engineers to remotely read system status values. Additionally, the system can monitor external alarms beyond the Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA). It utilizes FSK modulation and demodulation with optical modules, enabling the monitoring and adjustment of the BDA status from the control center. The technology incorporates WDM and DFB laser diode optical modules.
